Car Protection

When cars cost more, gas prices are high, and every penny counts, it's important to keep car protection top of mind. The exterior of your car should always be protected with a scratch pad, and that's easy to do. The inner workings of your vehicle are what require more effort to maintain. It’s important to keep everything running well and looking great, not only to maintain your car’s value, but also because a car that runs well will cost less to fill at the pump. Therefore, vehicle owners should get frequent get tune ups, oil changes, new air filters, and fuel injector cleanings.

Tune Ups

Tune ups are one of the best things drivers can do to maintain the integrity of their vehicle. A vehicle tune up is a multi-faceted process, and includes a very important task - that of making sure all fluid levels are topped off with the cleanest and most efficient fluid available. Tune ups also ensure your tires are inflated properly – a factor that has shown to greatly reduce gas mileage. Tires that aren’t fully inflated wear quickly and require more frequent replacement (which is certainly not conducive to saving money!).

Oil Changes

Frequent oil changes are a must. They should never be compromised. Whether you learn to change your oil on your own (which is actually quite easy to do), or have it changed done at your local service station, be aware that synthetic oil has been proven to improve vehicle performance and gas mileage.

Air Filters

Better and more expensive air filters will end up saving you money in the end. Be sure to check your air filter every time you change your oil. Clogged or dirty air filters make your engine run hotter and work harder than necessary, causing needless wear and tear on your vehicle.

Fuel Injectors

Use a fuel injector cleaner as regularly as you change your oil. Fuel injectors are what convert liquid fuel into a gaseous state for consumption by your vehicle. Dirty fuel injectors convert too much or too little gas, leaving you spending more on gas than you need to spend.

Follow these basic maintenance tips and you can rest assured your vehicle is cared for while also enjoying the added benefit of locating potential problems as they arise.
