The Scratch Pad is a new product featuring a washable sheet of soft, pliable, tear-resistant high-tech rubber-composite material which is permanently suspended from your garage ceiling (either open beam or dry-walled) between the cars to protect your automobiles' doors and fenders from scratches and dents caused by swinging open auto doors into the auto parked along side. The Scratch Pad allows for entry and exit to your autos without the danger of permanent damage to the paint finishes. The installed scratch pad clears garage doors and door opener mechanisms. The two-door model, measuring 3 ft. by 3 ft., is ideal when the family only owns sports cars or two-door model autos (or rarely opens rear doors in their garage). The Scratch Pad also comes in a four-door model, which can be purchased on this website, and is useful when the family SUV or a large four-door sedan is parked inside the garage. As an added plus, child safety has been designed into the product -- the guy wires from which The Scratch Pad hangs are designed to prevent children from using the product as a dangerous swing or play toy -- The Scratch Pad will stay in its place.

The Scratch Pad comes with a two-year limited warranty on materials and workmanship. Approximate installation time is 45 minutes and requires common hand tools found in most homes, and a ladder. All installation parts come with the product. The Scratch Pad comes in a pleasant industrial charcoal color (we like the look). The open garage beam-type installation also requires your purchase of a 10 ft. length of 1" dia. closet hanger dowel from your local hardware store.
